Aaaaaaaaaaaah the always pending question.... I could see myself living here for the next 10 years I reckon... We have everything we need here: parks, beaches, mountains, lakes, friends, library,
playgroups, museums, gardens, cafes... All at a travelling time of maximum 10 minutes.
The only thing that is missing is the Chinese food and a bit of cultural stuff that you can only find in Wellington or Auckland probably - 6 hours from here by car. So why should we move again?
- because we miss the buzz from a bigger city?
- because we don't want our girls to grow like some of the local girls we see here (beer culture)?
- because MC would like to go downtown more often just to have a look at several bookshops?
- because everybody (not true) knows us here?
- because MC feels people are looking at him (as a non-white person)?
- because when we want to go back to France or Taiwan we have to take a domestic flight (very expensive) and change here and there and here and there again?
Hum... But can we have a house with a garden in a city like, say, Melbourne or Sydney? From 70,000 inhabitants to 4 millions, that's a big change, right? Can we have everything we want without
changing bus and trains 4 times? I doubt so. Let's have a look and see!
